Ne-Yo turns 25!

Rapper/singer/songwriter Ne-Yo turned 25 yesterday, October 18. He celebrated his 25th birthday the night before, on October 17, at New York’s Tribeca Rooftop.

In attendance were DJ Cassidy, Def Jam prez Jay-Z and Island Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid, LL Cool J, Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson, Aixa Weeks, Ray J, Gym Class Heroes’ Travis McCoy, Rihanna, Chrisette Michelle, Cybil Chester, Ty Ty, Chris Chambers, Frank Jigga, Beanie Sigel, Maverick, Nina Sky, DJ Clue, DJ Scratchator, DJ Beverly Bond, June Ambrose, BJ Coleman, Lisa Evers, Bizaar Royale, Chingy, Steve Stoute, and former “Making the Band” choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson. Even his own mother was there! What a woman!

Chrisette Michelle sang “Happy Birthday” as Ne-Yo cut into his red velvet cake.

Inside, models wore nothing but glitter paint, and waitresses were decked out in Playboy-inspired bunny outfits — for the evening’s own playboy, of course. Meanwhile, guests put their John Hancocks on a Giant magazine-sponsored, um, giant birthday card.

The private party was sponsored by the singer’s Compound Entertainment label, as well as New Era and Rockport.

Ne-Yo was also given a one-night stay at the Peninsula New York as a gift.
