Matt Damon: From rising star to top film actor
Matt Damon turns 37 today!
Okay, this is one actor who I’ve watched since almost the start of his career. I remember watching Matt Damon in “School Ties,” a 1992 film which featured him as a not-so-good-guy. (I think I may have even seen it in the movie theater!) It was the kind of role that one loves to hate–ooh, he was just so bad! Little did I know back then that Matt Damon (age 22 in 1992) would become such a sought-after Hollywood actor.
Five years later, in 1997, a 27-year old Matt and his pal Ben Affleck wrote and starred in a little screenplay-turned-film that went on to win many awards and much notoriety, “Good Will Hunting.”
Just ten years since that “little” screenplay, Matt Damon has truly earned his success, and continues to rise in such films as the Oceans 11 series and the Jason Bourne series. Therefore, we here at Hollywood Birthday would like to wish him a very happy birthday!
