Jennifer Hudson: A “Sexy” Birthday!
Today is Jennifer Hudson’s 26th birthday, and it’s also just been announced that she will be joining the cast of the big screen film version of the popular series, “Sex and the City.” According to Newsday.com:
The singer and actress, 25, will portray the assistant to Sarah Jessica Parker’s shoe-obsessed character Carrie Bradshaw, and is in final negotiations with the movie’s producers about details of her role, Variety is reporting.
The movie, which is scheduled to start shooting in Manhattan Sept. 19, revolves around the lives of the four main SATC characters played by Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, who are all reprising their roles.
She’s come a long way since competing as a finalist in the third season of American Idol. She recently won critical acclaim for her role in the musical film “Dreamgirls,” as well as won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, a SAG Award and two BET Awards. Talk about cleaning up–she won a lot!
