John Leguizamo Is No Freak!
John Leguizamo is a breakthrough performer for the Hispanic community, having a combined Columbian and Puerto Rican heritage. His success has paved way for more Latino talent in Hollywood.
You may recognize him from his recent role as Dr. Victor Clemete on “ER,” and in roles such as Sid in both “Ice Age” films, Toulouse-Lautrec, the little person in “Moulin Rouge,” and Tybalt in “Romeo and Juliet.”
Leguizamo is also a talented writer, and used to test his comedy out on his fellow students in school. He was even voted “Most Talkative” by his classmates! Say it ain’t so! Since then he’s written and starred in several one-man shows, including “Spic-O-Rama” (exaggerating the Hispanic stereotypes) and “Freak” (a one-man show about his family experiences).
With a talent for fast-talking and a witty repertoire, he’s going places!
